Professor Pam Sharpe, originally from a Derbyshire mining community in Britain, moved to Swansea, Tasmania nearly two years ago. She holds a doctorate from Cambridge University and has spent thirty years as an economic historian in higher education, including a stint at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
In addition to her academic career, Pam has run a small farm in the Huon Valley and currently works in tourism and education on the East Coast of Tasmania.
